Top Timeshare Companies, Top Performers

This year, Resort Trades took a closer look at the top companies represented among the finalists in the 2026 ARDA Awards Program. The results offer a fascinating snapshot of the organizations leading today’s timeshare and vacation ownership industry.

According to ARDA.org, “The ARDA Awards Program is committed to recognizing the best nominees submitted in categories that include overall professional excellence, outstanding sales and marketing accomplishments, product design, advertising and promotion. The category divisions for the 2026 ARDA Awards program are: Marketing & Sales, Management & Administration, Advertising, Promotion & Communications and Resort Design.

“The ARDA Circle of Excellence (ACE) division honors those who have attained the highest level of excellence in the resort industry.

“Congratulations to the 2026 ARDA Awards Finalists! The ARDA Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, in conjunction with the ARDA Spring Conference at The Bellagio in Las Vegas, NV.” (arda.org)

The list of finalists reads almost like a “Who’s Who” of the modern vacation ownership industry. Large public companies, privately held resort developers, management companies, hospitality vendors, and emerging innovators all earned recognition across dozens of categories:

  • Marriott Vacations Worldwide
  • Hilton Grand Vacations
  • Travel + Leisure Co.
  • Holiday Inn Club Vacations
  • Westgate Resorts
  • Breckenridge Grand Vacations
  • Vacatia
  • Grand Pacific Resorts
  • Hyatt Vacation Club
  • ONE
  • MasterCorp
  • ResortCom International

In addition, vendors and affiliated companies connected with the industry also appeared throughout the finalist roster.

What follows is a closer look at many of the companies whose people, teams, and programs were recognized among the 2026 ARDA Awards finalists.

Top Companies

Marriott Vacations Worldwide

Few companies cast a larger shadow across the vacation ownership industry than Marriott Vacations Worldwide (NYSE: VAC), headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Marriott Vacations Worldwide has reported annual revenues exceeding $4.7 billion in recent years, making it one of the largest publicly traded vacation ownership companies in the world.

The company operates an expansive portfolio that includes Marriott Vacation Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, Hyatt Vacation Club, and several exchange and travel brands operating under the Abound by Marriott Vacations platform.

Marriott Vacations Worldwide’s leadership team includes CEO Matthew Avril, President, COO Mike Flaskey, and CFO Jason Marino. The company is publicly traded and reported annual revenues exceeding $4 billion in recent years.

The company had finalists spread across marketing, sales, owner services, technology, training, activities, housekeeping, legal, and operational categories during the 2026 ARDA Awards Program. That broad representation reflects the sheer scale of the organization and the complexity of operating one of the largest vacation ownership businesses in the world.

MVW continues to invest heavily in technology integration and owner flexibility. The company’s Abound exchange platform has become a major strategic initiative, allowing owners to access properties and travel experiences across multiple hospitality brands.

Large & Diverse Portfolio

The company also continues to maintain one of the largest resort portfolios in the industry, with properties across North America, Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific destinations.

Several of MVW’s 2026 finalists represented operational teams rather than purely sales-related departments — a trend increasingly visible throughout the industry as companies place greater emphasis on owner experience, technology, retention, and employee development.

One particularly interesting finalist category involved “Hotels through Abound,” illustrating the continuing convergence between traditional hotel loyalty systems and timeshare-based vacation ownership products.

Marriott Vacations Worldwide has also remained highly active in acquisitions and portfolio integration following its earlier acquisitions of ILG and Hyatt Residence Club assets.

With multiple legacy brands now operating under one corporate umbrella, MVW’s challenge moving forward may not be growth alone, but maintaining consistency across a remarkably large and diversified hospitality ecosystem.

Hilton Grand Vacations

Hilton Grand Vacations (NYSE: HGV) has evolved into one of the industry’s most visible and operationally sophisticated companies. Hilton Grand Vacations has reported annual revenues exceeding $4 billion annually while continuing to expand both domestically and internationally.

Led by CEO Mark Wang, President Mark Weinstein, and CFO Dan Mathewes, Hilton Grand Vacations has steadily expanded its footprint through acquisitions, resort development, and strategic partnerships.

The company’s acquisition of Diamond Resorts several years ago significantly expanded HGV’s owner base, resort inventory, and geographic reach.

Hilton Grand Vacations was heavily represented throughout the 2026 ARDA finalist categories, including marketing, operations, communications, training, talent acquisition, technology, housekeeping, sales, and owner relations. That breadth suggests a company deeply focused on organizational infrastructure and employee development.

Resort Trades has watched the company over the years as it has increasingly emphasized experiential travel, owner flexibility, digital engagement, and premium resort experiences. We’re convinced that its creative leadership manages to continue leveraging the global recognition of the Hilton hotel brand while simultaneously building a distinct identity within the vacation ownership sector.

Interestingly, HGV’s finalists reflected strength not only in revenue-producing departments, but also in risk management, communications, recruiting, and operational support.

Increasingly complex ecosystem

That trend mirrors a broader industry shift. Today’s successful vacation ownership companies increasingly resemble complex hospitality ecosystems requiring sophisticated HR systems, compliance structures, data management, cybersecurity, training systems, and customer engagement strategies.

Hilton Grand Vacations has also invested heavily in technology modernization and digital owner experiences. Its “MyExplorer+ Technology Team” finalist recognition highlights how critical digital tools have become in owner servicing and vacation planning.

The company reported billions in annual revenues and remains one of Wall Street’s most closely watched public vacation ownership companies.

Travel + Leisure Co.

Travel + Leisure Co. (NYSE: TNL), formerly Wyndham Destinations, continues to redefine itself as a diversified leisure travel and membership company. Travel + Leisure Co. has generated annual revenues approaching $4 billion while operating one of the industry’s largest global vacation club networks.

Led by CEO Michael Brown, CFO Mike Hug, and a senior leadership team focused on both hospitality and travel media branding, the company operates Club Wyndham, WorldMark by Wyndham, Margaritaville Vacation Club, Sports Illustrated Resorts, and several affiliated travel brands.

People Development Expertise

Travel + Leisure Co. arguably appeared more frequently than any other company throughout the 2026 ARDA finalist list.

Its finalists covered nearly every imaginable operational category — marketing, communications, owner support, sales, legal, operations, housekeeping, technology, recruiting, training, activities, maintenance, and management.

The sheer number of finalist appearances reflects the company’s enormous operational footprint.

Travel + Leisure Co. has aggressively repositioned itself in recent years around lifestyle branding and experiential travel. The company’s “Playcation” gaming promotion, “Lifestyle+” product innovation, and Sports Illustrated Resorts initiatives demonstrate its continued effort to connect vacation ownership products with broader consumer lifestyle interests. The company operates more than 245 vacation club resorts globally and services millions of owners and members.

Travel + Leisure Co. also continues to invest heavily in technology modernization and owner personalization. One particularly notable trend within the company’s finalist categories involved cross-functional operational teams designed to improve customer transformation, inventory management, and owner support.

That reflects a reality many executives now recognize: vacation ownership companies increasingly compete not only against other timeshare brands, but against every other leisure travel experience available to consumers.

As a publicly traded company, Travel + Leisure Co. continues to report annual revenues in the billions while balancing shareholder expectations with long-term owner satisfaction.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations

Holiday Inn Club Vacations has quietly become one of the industry’s most significant privately held vacation ownership companies. Founded by Orange Lake Resorts founder Kemmons Wilson — also the founder of Holiday Inn hotels — the company maintains deep roots within the hospitality industry. CEO John Staten currently leads the Orlando-based organization.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations operates resorts across Florida, Tennessee, Nevada, South Carolina, Texas, Missouri, Virginia, and Mexico.

The company earned finalist recognition across sales, talent acquisition, operations, housekeeping, activities, legal, HR, and marketing categories.

Family-friendly

One of the company’s strengths has long been its family-oriented resort positioning. Its Orange Lake Resort near Orlando remains one of the largest and most recognizable timeshare resorts in the United States.

The company’s ARDA finalists reflected a strong emphasis on operational leadership and employee development.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations has also continued investing in digital booking tools and owner engagement systems while maintaining strong ties to the broader Holiday Inn hospitality legacy.

As the company continues growing, industry observers will likely watch closely to see whether it pursues additional acquisitions or strategic partnerships in the years ahead.

Westgate Resorts

Privately held Westgate Resorts remains one of the industry’s most recognizable entrepreneurial success stories. Founded by David Siegel and headquartered in Orlando, the company operates more than two dozen resorts across the United States. Westgate’s executive leadership now includes CEO Jim Gissy and President Mark Waltrip.

The company had finalists in marketing, communications, technology, activities, sales, and resort operations.

Partnerships Fueling Significant Growth

Westgate Resorts has historically leaned heavily into experiential entertainment partnerships and family-focused resort programming. Its ARDA Award  finalist recognition for the company’s Chuck E. Cheese partnership illustrates the company’s willingness to experiment with unconventional marketing collaborations. Westgate has also continued expanding its presence in experiential hospitality and destination entertainment.

The company’s resort portfolio includes locations in Orlando, Las Vegas, Gatlinburg, Park City, Myrtle Beach, Branson, Cocoa Beach, and other major tourism destinations. Westgate Resorts has remained privately owned, allowing leadership somewhat greater flexibility than many publicly traded competitors. The company also continues investing in technology infrastructure and guest engagement initiatives.

Westgate’s ARDA finalists reflected both operational depth and a continued emphasis on owner-facing experiences.

Breckenridge Grand Vacation

Breckenridge Grand Vacations has built one of the industry’s strongest reputations for owner satisfaction and resort quality. Based in Colorado, the privately held company has built, marketed, sold, and operates luxury mountain resort properties including Grand Colorado on Peak 8, Grand Lodge on Peak 7, and Grand Timber Lodge. They are currently building the Imperial Hotel and Private Residences at the base of Breckenridge Ski Resort, which will include a boutique hotel affiliated with Leading Hotels of the World.

The once single-site developer, Breckenridge Grand Vacations is expanding into new markets including the Vail Valley in Colorado. The company purpose of “Sharing Smiles” is its true north as the company believes that “profits trail smiles.” With that in mind, they earn some of the highest Net Promoter Scores in the industry.

Mountaintop Culture

The company earned finalist recognition across sales, marketing owner relations, operations, training, and management categories. Breckenridge Grand Vacations has long been recognized for its strong workplace culture and employee engagement. Its finalists this year reflected that culture, particularly in training and owner services.

More than 700 employees strong, BGV is named the employer of choice in Summit County and has been named one of Colorado’s Top Workplaces by the Denver Post and USA Today.

Vacatia

Vacatia represents one of the more innovative and evolving business models in the vacation ownership industry. Led by CEO Caroline Shin, Vacatia manages over 60 resorts in 13 states throughout the U.S., as well as the Caribbean, and provides its standalone rental monetization services and fully integrated Vacatia Technology Platform to additional resorts.

With the acquisition of The Berkley Group and Daily Management at the beginning of 2025, the combined company now serves nearly 500,000 owners and manages more than 11,000 units.

Since 2021, the company has increasingly positioned itself as a technology-enabled management and servicing solution for independent resorts and HOAs. “When people ask if there is hope for legacy resorts that are facing challenges, my answer is yes,” Shin says. “I know they can be saved because that’s what Vacatia has done time and time again.”

Vacatia’s 2026 ARDA finalists appeared across operations, training, technology, legal, activities, sales support, and integration teams.

Rapid Expansion

One particularly noteworthy finalist was Vacatia’s Berkley/Daily Integration Team, which onboarded more than 30 resorts in about 120 days. Vacatia has expanded rapidly through management partnerships and operational consolidations. Its business model differs somewhat from traditional developer-centric timeshare organizations. Vacatia frequently emphasizes operational efficiency, HOA servicing, owner communications, rental  management, and technology-driven resort operations. The company’s growing visibility makes sense as it has grown into one of the industry’s top 5 companies.

Grand Pacific Resorts

Grand Pacific Resorts continues to maintain a remarkably strong reputation within resort management and hospitality operations. The California-based company operates managed resorts throughout California, Hawaii, and other western destinations,  including Oregon. Grand Pacific Resorts remains privately held and is led by CoPresidents David Brown and Tim Stripe, with Nigel Lobo, RRP, serving as Chief Operating Officer.

The company celebrated numerous finalists during the 2026 ARDA Awards cycle, with recognition spanning operations, housekeeping, employee engagement, management, and owner services.

“At Grand Pacific Resorts, we believe the future of vacation ownership belongs to companies that lead with heart and execute with discipline. Our valued associates are the living embodiment of our people-first service culture.  Every interaction, every stay, and every touchpoint is an opportunity for them to deliver the heartfelt hospitality we’re known for, and they rise to that occasion every single day. That spirit of genuine connection drives our passion for maximizing the value proposition of timeshare ownership, ensuring each of our valued timeshare owners feels the full benefit of their ownership through personalized experiencesmeaningful communication, and a loyalty they can count on for years to come. At the same time, we remain deeply committed to financial discipline by making thoughtful investments in our systems, operations, and resort experiences across our diverse portfolio, while maintaining the measurable results and cost rigor that allow us to grow without ever losing the personal touch our owners expect and deserve.”

– Nigel Lobo, COO, Grand Pacific Resorts

Longstanding Culture

Grand Pacific Resorts has long emphasized a culture centered on hospitality, employee engagement, and owner experience. Its industry reputation often extends beyond pure operational metrics.

The company is frequently recognized for culture-building, internal communications, and community-oriented resort management.

Several Grand Pacific finalists represented front-line operational roles — an important reminder that guest experience ultimately depends upon the employees owners interact with every day.

The company’s continuing visibility within ARDA awards programs reflects its longstanding commitment to service excellence.

Hyatt Vacation Club

Hyatt Vacation Club, now operating within the Marriott Vacations Worldwide portfolio, continues to maintain a strong identity within the luxury vacation ownership marketplace.

The brand operates upscale resort properties in destinations including Colorado, Hawaii, Arizona, California, Florida, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

Hyatt Vacation Club finalists appeared primarily in resort operations and management categories during the 2026 ARDA Awards.

Emphasis on Quality

The Hyatt brand traditionally appeals to owners seeking a somewhat more upscale hospitality positioning combined with flexible exchange opportunities. Since becoming part of Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Hyatt Vacation Club has increasingly benefited from broader exchange and loyalty integration opportunities.

Industry observers continue watching how successfully the company balances Hyatt’s luxury hospitality identity within the larger MVW ecosystem.

ONE

ONE continues emerging as an increasingly visible player within the vacation ownership industry. The company earned finalist recognition in recruiting, technology, and marketing innovation categories.

Cruising in the Mix

ONE’s Cruise-Originated Resort Arrival Program finalist recognition reflected the growing overlap between cruise travel, vacation clubs, and experiential tourism. The company has focused heavily on technology-enabled travel experiences and customer acquisition innovation.

Although smaller than some legacy industry giants, ONE’s growing visibility within ARDA finalist categories suggests a company positioning itself for long-term growth.

MasterCorp

MasterCorp remains one of the hospitality industry’s most significant resort housekeeping and staffing partners. The company provides housekeeping, staffing, and operational support services to resorts throughout North America.

MasterCorp finalists appeared in human resources, talent acquisition, and housekeeping categories.

The company’s continued recognition highlights the increasingly important role third-party operational vendors play throughout the resort industry. As staffing shortages and labor challenges continue affecting hospitality operations nationwide, companies like MasterCorp have become essential operational partners for many resort operators.

ResortCom International

ResortCom International continues operating behind the scenes as a major technology and customer engagement provider within the vacation ownership industry. The company earned finalist recognition for talent acquisition and recruiting.

ResortCom specializes in contact center operations, owner services, reservations, collections, and technology support for vacation ownership companies.

Although consumers may not immediately recognize the company’s name, many resort organizations rely heavily on ResortCom infrastructure and customer engagement systems.

Its continuing presence within ARDA recognition programs reflects the increasingly important role outsourced operational services now play throughout the industry.

More Than Awards

Although the ARDA Awards Program celebrates excellence, the finalist list also reveals something larger happening throughout the vacation ownership industry.

Today’s top-performing timeshare companies increasingly resemble sophisticated hospitality, technology, customer engagement, and data-management organizations.

Yes, Sales Still Matter.

But so do training systems. So do owner communications. So do digital platforms. So do recruiting teams. So do housekeeping managers. So do compliance departments. And increasingly, so do culture and employee retention.

The 2026 finalists reflect an industry continuing to evolve well beyond outdated public perceptions of timeshare.

For those attending the ARDA Awards Ceremony this year at The Bellagio, the evening will certainly celebrate individual winners.

But perhaps more importantly, it will showcase the companies, teams, and professionals helping shape the next chapter of modern vacation ownership.
