The final results will be announced during a gala event on Friday, September 30 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  Finalists from the U.S.A. and several other nations are expected to attend.

More than 250 nominations from organizations around the world were evaluated in this year’s competition.  Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 50 professionals worldwide, acting as judges.  The Stevie Awards for Great Employers recognize achievement in many facets of the workplace. Categories include:

  • Employer of the Year
  • HR Achievements
  • HR Individual Awards
  • HR Team Categories
  • Solution Provider Awards
  • More than 50 New Product & Service Categories

Stevie Award winners in the 34 Employer of the Year categories were determined by a unique blending of the ratings of professionals and the votes of the general public.  More than 44,000 votes were cast by members of the public for their favorite employer.

Becoming a great place to work requires a focus on company culture and a management philosophy of looking at problems as opportunities. Both of these principles help to build a workforce with a contagious positive outlook across the entire company.  A positive outlook combined with a focus on other core values like providing recognition, opting to have fun and responding to charity are Sundance Vacations’ ingredients for an engaged workplace and a great place to work.

“The Stevie Awards for Great Employers is our newest Stevie Awards program, and we’re very pleased with the results of the first edition,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.  “We congratulate all of this year’s Finalists and look forward to honoring them at our gala ceremony in New York on September 30.”

“Sundance Vacations is celebrating a quarter of a century in business and we are honored to be nominated for the Employer of the Year Award,” said John Dowd, CEO Sundance Vacations. “We have a philosophy of putting employees first and that has been a part of our recipe for success at Sundance Vacations.”
