Hope Club International Signs Exclusive Club Affiliation Agreement With Interval International

Interval International, a leading global provider of vacation services and an operating business of ILG (Nasdaq: ILG), and Chengdu Homeland Hotel Management Corp., Ltd., a division of Continental Hope Group, announced an exclusive, multiyear club affiliation agreement. The contract includes units housed in Homeland International Hotel in southwest China’s Chengdu city and Mumian Lake Homeland Resort on Hainan Island in southeast China. Both are part of the recently launched Hope Club International, the Continental Hope Group’s entry into shared ownership.

“As a diversified global corporation, Continental Hope Group has many years of experience in large-scale hotel and real-estate development,” said Chen Bin, its president. “Entering the shared ownership industry was the next step in our company’s evolution, and the support of the Interval executives has been a tremendous help in the process.”

“We are extremely pleased to welcome this very successful and well-respected hospitality company to the industry. Its club offers owners and guests the opportunity to enjoy a quality vacation experience in a historic urban location or a beach retreat in a highly demanded destination,” noted David C. Gilbert, Interval’s president. “We understand that there is an increase in travel to China, as well as more and more residents traveling within the country, and these trends bode well for Hope Club.”

Homeland International Hotel, a five-star business and leisure hotel, is set on 400 acres in Chengdu. An array of amenities is available on-site, including two restaurants, outdoor swimming pool, full-service spa, gymnasium, tennis courts, bicycle trails and jogging tracks, table tennis and billiards room, and a six-lane indoor bowling alley. Guests can also arrange excursions to the famous Chengdu Research Giant Panda Conservation Center, as well as to various cultural attractions. Seventy-five miles away near Leshan, are one of the world’s tallest Buddhas, a 233-foot statue carved directly into a red sandstone cliff, and Mount Emeishan, which at more than 10,000 feet is the highest of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China.

On Hainan Island, Mumian Lake features luxury guest rooms and suites set on 3,000 acres in the Five Fingers Mountains, an unspoiled area covered in rain forests. Guests have access to a clubhouse, tennis courts, golf course, driving range, as well as basketball and badminton courts. A hot-springs center is currently under construction.

“Adding these properties to the Interval exchange network is a significant benefit for our members who want to explore this part of the world. As the capital of Sichuan province, Chengdu is among the most popular tourist cities in the area and has become a gateway to the region with its increasing airlift,” said Joe Hickman, Interval’s vice president and executive director of resort sales and service for Asia Pacific. “Offering a different experience, Hainan Island, often referred to as the Hawaii of China, is a serene and beautiful beach destination.”

New owners who purchase at Hope Club International will be enrolled as individual members of Interval International and will also become Interval Gold members, entitling them to a number of flexible exchange opportunities and upgraded benefits and services. These include Interval Options, the ability to exchange their resort week or points toward a cruise, tour, guided holiday, or unique Interval Experiences adventure; ShortStay Exchange; Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® membership, which gives them a bonus certificate for a free weekend car rental day; discounts on Getaways; special offers at hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets worldwide; and VIP Concierge for personal assistance, 24/7.
