Global Connections Inc. (GCI), a pioneer in the travel club industry, always has something going on at its owned and/or managed resorts. Especially this summer.
According to Dave Dawson, Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for GCI, “The whole idea of being on vacation is to have fun. Although we are extremely proud of our facilities, we also like to make sure our members and guests have plenty of ways to stay entertained.”
Global Connections owns and operates Beso Del Sol (Huntington Beach, CA), Beso Del Sol (Dunedin, FL), Sea Shells Beach Club (Daytona Beach, FL), White Oak Lodge and Resort (Gatlinburg, TN) and Lodge by The Blue (Breckenridge, CO). In addition to the five resorts it owns and operates, GCI also leases and manages scores of vacation condominium units all over the continental United States and Hawaii, as well as Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico.
In the past few months, members and guests at the Dunedin Beso Del Sol Resort, have been treated to a concert by the popular group, The Black Honkeys, who played before a crowd at the waterfront resort. The resort also has a special arrangement with ParrotDise Express, whose cruises leave right from the Beso Del Sol pier, making it easy to see dolphins at play up close.
At Sea Shells Beach Club, all the amenities to make a beach vacation even more enjoyable are free to members and guests. Whether it’s beach chairs, boogie boards or beach cruiser bikes, life is good at the award winning resort. The new general manager has been known to surprise folks with a homemade breakfast from time to time, if she is not too busy ensuring wonderful vacation experiences for families of all ages.
Meanwhile in Tennessee, White Oak Lodge and Resort is a wilderness paradise complete with Nature Trails, Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Basketball Hoops, and Barbecues. The log homes offer relaxation with rocking chairs on the front porch and hot tubs on the screened-in back porch. Many of the log homes uniquely include a pool table to keep visitors entertained.
Fans of the mountains are flocking to Global’s latest addition to its resort portfolio, Lodge by The Blue. The resort on The Blue River offers the best of the Colorado Rockies all year long. Whether visitors are looking for mountain biking, skiing or hiking, Lodge by The Blue is the perfect destination. Most popular amenities include an indoor heated pool as well as a highly popular 10-person hot tub on the premises. Soon to come is a restaurant called Myla Rose which is scheduled to open by ski season.
“There’s always something happening at our GCI Properties and we encourage our members to check online for special events or give us a call,” says Dave Dawson.
