2020 CEP Award: Nominations Open Soon

In 2020, individuals in the timeshare resort and vacation ownership industry have out-performed all previously set records when it comes to customer engagement, overcoming the extreme pressure caused by COVID-19, election campaign duress, and social unrest.

“CustomerCount® originally suggested we join with Resort Trades with an award that would provide a way for resort professionals to reward and recognize one another,” says CustomerCount President & CEO Robert “Bob” Kobek. “With the challenges we’ve faced this year, however, we wanted to make the 2020 award as meaningful as possible.”

Each year since 2016 the CEP has been awarded to resort team members. This year, CustomerCount and The Trades Publishing Company (publishers of Resort Trades magazine, the digital eZine Resort Trades Weekly, and an innovative weekly online event series, the TRADES LUNCH BUNCH) — sponsors of the award — are opening nominations to professionals whose occupations are connected to the vacation ownership, or timeshare resort, industry.

To nominate an individual – whether you (or they) are a resort team member, a supplier or vendor, or any professional connected with the vacation ownership industry who consistently demonstrated extraordinary customer engagement in 2020, go to http://www.ccceprtaward.com/. You will be asked to provide your nomination information using the CustomerCount survey tool to tell why you believe your nominee deserves the award. And, if your nominee is selected, both of you will receive an elegant display trophy such as the one pictured here.

The nominations are reviewed by a very distinguished panel of judges; Howard Bendell, Scott Bahr, Angela Ward, and Ed McMullen Jr. The entire judging process is “blind” meaning the judges will not have information regarding who submitted the nomination, the name of the company and/or the name of the nominee.

Award ceremony to be featured in live-streaming event

The winner, along with other members of their team, will be featured in a high-profile live-streaming event in mid-February. Resort Trades Publisher Sharon Scott Wilson, RRP, says, “As a result of the coronavirus shut-down earlier this year, the team at The Trades turned our focus on providing networking and an instructional resource by hosting weekly webinar-type events. We’ve had speakers from across the industry. In some cases they provide informative, relevant ‘news-you-can-use’; and in others, senior level executives have shared of their insights and provided a way to connect with their businesses. Bob and I both thought awarding the winner using this audio/visual platform would be a way to add an even broader audience to recognize the individual’s hard work, despite a year of challenges.”
