Wyndham Destinations recognized for its efforts to support Veteran-owned suppliers and as a Best Employer for Veterans

Wyndham Destinations, the world’s largest vacation ownership/timeshare, and exchange company is honored to be recognized once again by the National Veteran-Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) as a Best Corporation for Veteran’s Business Enterprises for 2020, for their efforts towards the inclusion of Veteran-Owned and/or Service-Disabled suppliers.

The companies recognized as the 2020 Best Corporations for Veteran’s Business Enterprises successfully display a commitment to working with veterans with policies and outreach programs that engage the nation’s certified Veteran’s and Service-Disabled Veteran’s Business Enterprises as suppliers. NaVOBA also explores procurement infrastructure, allocation of assets, the existence of development programs and any supplemental actions the company may have taken to improve its relationship with Veteran’s Business Enterprises® and/or Service-Disabled Veteran’s Business Enterprises®.

Wyndham Destinations was also recognized by Forbes magazine as a Best Employer for Veterans in 2020. For companies in the annual ranking, emphasis was placed on recruiting of Veterans and service members, company culture, policies, and reservist accommodations.

“Our business is hospitality, and we believe diversity enriches and strengthens our organization. We particularly recognize that our veteran associates and working with veteran companies makes good business sense,” said Jose Nido, vice president of global supplier diversity for Wyndham Destinations. “We are proud to support our nation’s Veterans and are grateful for our relationships with our Veteran-owned suppliers. With Veteran’s Day on the horizon, we extend our thanks and gratitude to all those who have and continue to serve our country, and we are humbled by this distinction.”

These distinctions come on the heels of Forbes Magazine’s recognition of Wyndham Destinations as a 2020 Best Employer for Diversity and a World’s Best Employer.
