Westgate Lakes Resort to Add New Water Park Area

Westgate Resorts has just announced that they are working to add a new water park addition to its Lakes Resort near International Drive in Orlando, Florida. Plans have officially been filed with Orange County to add this area next to the two new 80-unit timeshare buildings that are currently under construction.

Currently on the resort grounds, there is a pond and a golf cart parking area near an already existing Pelican’s Landing Pool. This area will be filled in to make room for the water park attractions. Some of the features will include waterslides, a playground, lazy river, and a ticketing booth.

This new water park addition will not only add value to Westgate Lakes Resort, but it will also help to keep people on the property. Being situated in Orlando means many people are spending their days off the resort grounds and in the surrounding theme parks. This water park will help encourage families to spend more time at the resort.

Westgate Lakes Resort currently features other great amenities such as:

  • Spacious villas – studios up to four-bedrooms
  • Miniature golf course
  • Sports courts including volleyball, basketball, and tennis
  • Bicycle and boat rentals
  • Fishing on the lake
  • Horseshoes and shuffleboard
  • Game room
  • Multiple on-site dining options
  • Serenity Spa by Westgate
  • Fitness center

This story is still developing, check back later for more updates as they are released. For now, you can learn more about Westgate Lakes Resort on the official website.
