VO-CON: “Not Your Typical Vacation Ownership Conference”

The Canadian Vacation Ownership Association (CVOA)   . Vacation Ownership Conference, VO-Con, promises to take networking to a new level with innovative venues and activities for networking and Key Note speakers outside the realm of traditional vacation ownership conferences. VO-Con 2017, is scheduled for September 12-14, 2017 in Whistler, Canada at the Four Seasons Resort &Residences.

Networking events will be integral to this year’s conference. Conversations amongst industry colleagues will happen during gondola rides, mountain walks, cocktail receptions and coffee breaks.

Featured keynote speaker will be Vikram Vij, celebrity chef, restaurateur, cookbook author and television personality who will share is views at the event’s luncheon high atop the Blackcomb Mountain Summit at Whistler, B.C. at Christine’s Restaurant.  A tireless advocate of Indian cuisine in Canada and of “eating locally”, Vikram will speak about his life, his experiences and his background to the international attendees of VO-Con.

Another VO-Con highlight will be Comedic Hypnotist and Performance Expert Wayne Lee, who has been called Canada’s “crown prince” of hypnotism.  Believing the mind is more powerful than most people understand, Lee will share ways to better handle stress and achieve dreams through relaxation and mind-focusing techniques.

Jon Zwickel, CEO of CVOA says “VO-Con is not “your typical vacation ownership conference.”  We will offer a few optional activities for attendees including a Whistler Nature Walk, Scenic Valley Bike Tours, a trip to the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center and a visit to the Audain Art Museum.   These events are in addition to the regular agenda of fine programming of industry expert panels and presentations.  In addition to industry education, our goal is to leave plenty of time for networking, which our members consider the primary benefit of the event.”
