Valley Forge is proud to announce that their Chief Operating Officer and M&A leader, Vanesa Patiño, has recently joined the Broward College Foundation Board of Directors along with three other South Florida executives, as announced this past May.
The Broward College Foundation is a non-profit organization and the officially designated means of making private, charitable contributions to Broward College. Members of the Foundation’s volunteer Board of Directors work closely with the College’s Office of Advancement to raise money to support scholarships, academic programs, and learning facility enhancements.
Vanesa is the current Chief Operating Officer at Valley Forge Fabrics and former CFO of the company. She was recently the Vice President of Finance and Strategic Initiatives at Ultimate Software. She is a multifaceted CxO leader with a mix of finance and operational expertise and is able to confidently direct multiple business lines. Her areas of expertise include identifying and leveraging business opportunities to steer organizations toward year-over-year growth. She serves on several professional advisory boards, is a CFO Leadership Council member, an advisory board member at the Toolbox SaaS Company, and an M&A advisory board member at Qualcare Medical Group. She also volunteers as the PTA CFO at Falcon Cove Middle School. She earned her MBA in International Business from Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Vanesa was nominated to the Board of Directors by members in the community who felt she would have a positive impact on the Foundation. It connects directly with her personal core values and aligns with those of her current company, Valley Forge Fabrics: Interact by connecting with the community and Do more by sharing her skills and experiences to create a positive impact on others.
“I feel honored and humbled for the opportunity to share this experience with such an amazing group of people at Broward College Foundation. I’m excited to contribute as Board Member to a highly committed educational institution like Broward College. It has been named as one of 10 finalists for the 2021 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, and that is the result of the dedication of the faculty and staff who are relentless in pursuing their mission. As a woman, mother of triplets, and Executive leader, I feel energized about the vision and mission of this assignment which connects directly with my personal values and with the core values for which we live at Valley Forge Fabrics”, says Vanesa.
The primary responsibility of every board member is to commit their time, talent, and resources to be fully engaged in the pursuit of the Foundation’s mission which is “to change lives through education by providing community advocacy, awareness, and resources to Broward College”. Joining Vanesa are Broward Health Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Alexander Fernandez; Haig Partners President Alan Haig; and The Rhodes Insurance Group President Lloyd F. Rhodes – each of who brings a wealth of experience to support the Broward College Foundation.
