Unlimited Vacation Club Appoints Gonzalo Maqueda as COO

Unlimited Vacation Club (UVC) by AMResorts® is proud to announce the appointment of Gonzalo Maqueda as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Maqueda will oversee the internal operational activities of the vacation club in accordance with its policies, goals, and objectives.

As the COO, Maqueda will coordinate with a number of department heads including human resources, finance, information technology, and legal to manage the overall functionality of UVC. From a financial standpoint, he will direct internal operations to develop short-term and long-term plans and budgets based upon the company’s goals. Additionally, he’ll oversee member services and collections.

Maqueda brings 25 years of vacation exchange and industry related experience to UVC. He has a track record of successful endeavors with some of the industry’s most influential companies. His career began in 1991 as a financial planner for Grupo Situr where he quickly advanced, taking the lead on creating and implementing Sun Club, the first internal vacation exchange system in Latin America.

Since then, Maqueda played a major role in creating Fiesta Americana Vacation Club at Grupo Posadas and became the Director of Operations for the company where he managed member services, inventory, information technology, quality control and operational guidelines. In 2004, he joined RCI as the Vice President of Resort Services and Contact Service Solutions for Latin America and the Caribbean, servicing close to 700 affiliated resorts through nine regional offices as well as supervising a contact center for specialty solutions.

Additionally, Maqueda managed Interval International’s Mexico division for a year and he was also appointed Executive President for AMDETUR. Most recently he launched an independent consulting company for vacation clubs where he created and implemented membership programs.
