NEW YORK (February 27, 2019) The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) continues to spread smiles with charity beneficiary Operation Smile as it welcomes actor and star of CW’s Roswell New Mexico and The Vampire Diaries Michael Trevino. Right now, Trevino is in the mountainous province of Mae Hong Son in northern Thailand to support an Operation Smile medical mission that will result in many local children having their smiles restored.
The celebrity ambassador will also be extending his trip visiting other parts of Thailand including Chiang Mai, where he’ll have first-hand experience at an elephant sanctuary and discover the arts in Chiang Mai’s trendiest part, Nimmanhaemin. He’ll also be heading south to Phang Nha for some island hopping, snorkeling, swimming, and sightseeing before he ends his trip in one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations, Bangkok.
Trevino will be capturing his experiences along the way through his social media platforms including Instagram (@michaeltrevino) and Twitter (@Michael_Trevino).
Trevino has worked with Operation Smile since 2012 and previously took part in TAT’s social media-driven campaign Million Smiles, where he along with TV personality and fashion photographer Nigel Barker called upon consumers to share their images of what makes them smile in Thailand. To further promote the spreading of smiles, TAT made a contribution directly to Operation Smile to provide surgical care for children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.
