A Boca Raton-based company with more than 500 workers in South Florida is considering relocating its headquarters.
Bluegreen Vacations, a vacation ownership and resort management firm, is exploring its options and may opt to relocate and develop a new headquarters office within Palm Beach or Broward Counties. If no other sites meet their needs, the company could renew its current lease, it said.
Bluegreen has been based at the Boca Raton innovation Campus — the former HQ of IBM — since 1997. Its lease expires at the end of 2018, but it’s beginning its search for spaces that can provide the company with unique amenities and room to expand, said Susan Saturday, senior vice president at Bluegreen Vacations in a statement.
Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is leading the search.
“Ultimately, our goal is to identify a solution that aligns with the company’s business objectives,” said Greg Katz, vice chairman of NGKF’s Miami office.
Bluegreen Vacations employs nearly 6,000 workers company-wide, including 500 workers in Boca Raton.
