The Refinishing Touch Celebrates 40 years

The year 1977 has special meaning for us. But it wasn’t because Apple was incorporated that year, or that Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell dominated the rock music charts. Nor was it because a fellow Georgian was inaugurated as President of the United States. In that year, I founded The Refinishing Touch, and with it, reinvented the relationship all of us have with furnishings.

For 40 years, we’ve been helping businesses and government save money, and the environment, with an ever-increasing array of solutions. During that time, we transformed from a small, local company I ran all alone, into a nationwide operation with a trusted team of dozens of highly skilled workers across the Country. Those early days were ones replete with challenges. After all, we were ahead our time by trying to create an eco-friendly business during the disposable, Styrofoam era.

We had our work cut out for us, yet I knew my approach was the right one. Fortunately, times shifted, and decades later the world has caught up with our rational, environmentally and financially focused philosophy. In 2017, we’re a highly influential brand driving change and extreme savings to companies all throughout the United States. Our influence has never been stronger and we have you to thank for it, all while saving millions of pounds of material from clogging landfills.

During the next 40 years, we look forward to continuing reinventing how owners, developers, designers and government stewards approach their furniture as an asset strategy. We’ll continue leveraging technological advances to provide more customer-friendly solutions, no matter the challenges the future has in store for us. You’ll always have The Refinishing Touch by your side, helping you create the best possible product for your customers to enjoy.

Thank you all for your incredible support. Here’s to the next 40 years of excitement for every one of you and us here at The Refinishing Touch.
