staySky Vacation Clubs Team Helps the Fight Against Breast Cancer

On Saturday October 28, 2018, many employees at the the award-winning staySky Vacation Clubs resort group participated in the American Cancer Society Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk as a community for the first time.

staySky has been noted in the past for their many philanthropic efforts over the years, and 2018 marks their first time participating in one of the largest events dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer screenings and fighting breast cancer. The Orlando-based company is proud of its employees commitment to helping others for this important cause.

American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is a national program that gathers hundreds of companies, organizations, and communities around the US to help the fight and to those who have and have been impacted by breast cancer. This particular non-competitive walk helped raise money to support programs that make getting screenings and treatment more accessible to locals. It also has been able to fund a multi-year grant of $680,000 to the M.D. Anderson’s Cancer Center/Cancer Research Institute.

staySky Vacation Clubs President Randy Steinback stated:

“As an organization, it is important that we give back to our community and as equally important that we provide a way for our valuable team members to participate in those all-important efforts.”

In addition to supporting this cause, staySky has found other ways to give back. Earlier this year, the team volunteered at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida where they packed thousands of pounds of vegetables and groceries that helped provide 16,500 meals to people in Central Florida. One of staySky Vacations Clubs priorities is to create a positive work culture that focuses on creating a positive impact on their local community and more.

staySky owns and operates Hawthorn Suites Lake Buena Vista, Enclave, staySky® Suites-I Drive Orlando, and Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa, all located in popular areas of Orlando. These locations have been recognized and awarded by top travel industry leaders such as Hotels.com, TripAdvisor, and Booking.com. In addition to the company’s resorts and the nearly 3,000 affiliated properties located around the world, staySky Vacation Clubs also was named one of Orlando’s Top 100 Companies to Work For in 2018.
