American Red Cross
RSI Vacations today announced a $10,000 donation to the American Red Cross to assist relief efforts in Jamaica following this week’s devastation. The company expressed its heartfelt concern for the people of Jamaica and called on partners across the travel industry to contribute to urgent humanitarian needs.
“Our hearts are with Jamaica,” said Ron New, President of RSI Vacations. “For decades, our members have created thousands of unforgettable memories on this island—it is one of the most picturesque destinations in the Caribbean. Today we are standing with the Jamaican people and the teams working around the clock to provide food, shelter, medical care, and hope. We’re asking our colleagues, suppliers, and fellow travel brands to join us in giving.”
Under RSI Vacations’ contribution, funds will support Red Cross efforts that typically include emergency shelter, relief supplies, first aid, reconnecting families, and longer-term recovery assistance coordinated with local authorities and NGOs. RSI Vacations is directing members and partners who wish to contribute to make a donation through the American Red Cross at www.redcross.org/donate (select “International Services” and note “Jamaica” where applicable).
