The iconic Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows has unveiled The Spa at Royal Lahaina, the final milestone in a sweeping, multi-million-dollar renovation redefining one of Maui’s original oceanfront destinations. Nestled along the world-renowned Kāʻanapali Beach with panoramic views of Molokai and Lanai, the new spa embodies the resort’s vision of pairing wellness with natural harmony. The oceanfront sanctuary features five private treatment suites, a manicure and pedicure beauty bar, and an open-air serenity lanai designed around the concept of Blue Mind Therapy, which celebrates the healing calm of ocean proximity. Guests can choose from a curated menu of massages, facials, and body treatments that blend locally inspired ingredients with modern techniques. The Aloha Body Polish features locally made sugar scrub, while the exclusive Stellar Stem Cell Package combines a 60-minute facial with collagen masks and advanced stem cell skincare products for extended post-treatment results.

The spa’s design, led by Honolulu-based The Vanguard Theory, was inspired by the native ʻŌhiʻa lehua plant—symbolizing renewal and resilience. Lead designer Michelle Jaime, LEED AP, and founding principal of The Vanguard Theory, described the vision as a blend of tropical modernism and coastal serenity. “The Spa’s beachfront setting allows guests to enjoy treatments while watching whales glide past,” said Jaime. “We wanted to create a seamless connection between the spa’s design and the property’s larger transformation — a continuum of calm and beauty.” The spa’s natural materials, soft neutral palette, and modern furnishings echo the larger renovation effort across Royal Lahaina’s 27-acre oceanfront property.
The debut of The Spa marks the culmination of a comprehensive reimagining of Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows. The multi-million-dollar transformation includes refreshed private bungalows and reimagined guest rooms; revitalized public areas including the lobby and two oceanfront pools; new dining experiences — Lahaina Noon and Pineapple Moon; and The Branches, an outdoor social hub featuring nightly live music from local performers. Complementing these enhancements, the resort now offers a robust wellness and recreation program with complimentary sunrise yoga, hula lessons, and water sports, alongside newly resurfaced tennis and pickleball courts.
