Resort Trades Weekly’s 25+% Open Rate Earns “2018 All Star”

Resort Trades Weekly, a B2B eNewsletter distributed to resort and vacation industry executives, earned recognition from online marketing company Constant Contact as a “2018 All Star.” The recognition was earned by the weekly’s consistently high open and click-through rates, coupled with an extremely low bounce and opt-out rate.

Resort Trades Weekly’s success results largely from distributing fresh, original content,” observes Publisher Sharon Scott Wilson. “Our print publication Resort Trades and website ResortTrades.com have had a loyal following for more than 30 years. Through the newsletter we were happy to provide readers with an alternative way to obtain fresh content easily and from their mobile devices or computers.”

Resort Trades recently announced its intention to move forward in an initiative to strengthen its position with advertisers as the only Multiple-Channel Publisher in the resort/vacation industry. “We are focusing on expanding our SEO efforts by publishing fresh content online,” Wilson says.

Another exciting initiative recently undertaken by The Trades was the introduction of the ‘Best’ series. “Beginning in 2016, we launched our ‘Top Team Members’ column, which resulted in our writer Marge Lennon creating a number of wildly popular articles. The open rate for Resort Trades Weekly editions which feature these articles is usually through the roof,” says Wilson. “This was a winner of a kick-off. Next in the ‘Best’ series has been to follow up on suggestions from readers to name the ‘Best Place to Work.’ Marge has already profiled several resort companies as part of the series.”
