David Siegel Westgate
Sadly, we announce the passing of David Alan Siegel, Founder and Executive Chairman of Westgate Resorts, on April 5, 2025 at the age of 89. A visionary entrepreneur, David grew Westgate from a small startup into one of the nation’s largest privately owned timeshare resort companies.
Beyond his business success, David was a devoted husband, father, and philanthropist. Following the loss of his daughter Victoria, he became a passionate advocate in the fight against the drug epidemic, founding the Victoria’s Voice Foundation and helping to pass key legislation to save lives.

David’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the causes he championed, and the countless people he inspired. He was a true icon in the timeshare resort industry and will be deeply missed.
A few days later, David’s widow Jaqueline posted this on social media: “my world was shattered again yesterday by the unexpected loss of my beautiful sister, Jessica Mallery, 43, to a scourge we as a family sadly know too well – accidental drug overdose.”
The post added: “In lieu of flowers, our family requests that those who wish to honor Jessica’s memory do so by donating to the Victoria’s Voice Foundation.” For more information or to donate click the link: victoriasvoice.foundation/donate
