Nominations for Prestigious CVOA Cornerstone Award Open

The Canadian Vacation Ownership Association (CVOA) has opened nominations for the 2017 CVOA Cornerstone Award   which recognizes a truly outstanding shared ownership innovator.  Three finalists will be selected by the CVOA Awards Committee.  Each will be featured on the VO-Con website and in numerous industry press releases and Eblasts.  

The formal Cornerstone Award presentation will be held during VO-Con ’17 in Whistler, B.C. on September 14.

The award will go to an exceptional professional who has:

  • seized an opportunity, addressed a need, solved a problem and created a game changing value proposition;
  • communicated in compelling ways, engaged the marketplace and achieved outstanding results and commercial success; and/or,
  • will have a lasting positive impact on vacation ownership, the environment and society and is an inspiration to CVOA stakeholders.

The nominee may be any company, HOA, individual or vacation ownership project currently active in the industry who achieved their accomplishments during the past 18 months ending August 31, 2017.  

CVOA President and CEO Jon Zwickel says, “This is the 5th year that we have presented this prestigious award. Previous winners include Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club, National Timeshare Owners Association, Dial An Exchange and Whistler Vacation Club.”

Broad categories for the award include Project Excellence, Transaction Excellence, Innovation, HOA/Owner Relations, Communications/Public Relations/Marketing and Sales, Rental Programs, Green/Sustainable Programs and Community Service and Philanthropy.  A nominee only needs to meet the criteria in one of the categories.

All entries must be received by CVOA no later than September 5.  Three finalists will be selected by CVOA, and each finalist will make a presentation to attendees at VO-Con ’17.  The Awards Committee will then judge the entries and select the winner.
