Members of the Club at Diamond Resorts International Get VIP Treatment at Huaka’i, Journey Through Polynesia

Diamond Resorts International^®, a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industries, delivered an unforgettable experience to members of THE Club® with VIP access to the Huaka’i, Journey Through Polynesia show on June 21 in Maui, Hawaii. The opportunity was made possible through Events of a Lifetime®, Diamond Resorts’ exclusive experiential vacation program.

The two-hour-long show is performed weekly on the lush grounds of the Ka’anapali Beach Club and features a lei greeting, mai tai drinks, Hawaiian crafts, fire knife dancing, and the traditional cultural music and dances of Hawaii and Polynesia.

Members of THE Club® were given VIP treatment with a private wait staff and designated photographer, who took their photo against the scenic backdrop for them to have as a commemorative gift. They also had front-row seating and were given first access to the buffet featuring traditional island cuisine, including Poi (mashed taro), Ahi Poke (raw tuna in a sesame, citrus marinade), Namasu (pickled onion, carrot and cucumber) and Kalua pork – a whole pig that is cooked in a traditional, underground oven, or Hawaiian imu. After the show, members returned to their accommodations to find a Hawaii-themed, reusable gift bag filled with local treats, including a Maui pineapple, a box of chocolate-covered Macadamia nuts, Hawaiian coffee and cookies.
