Interval Welcomes Five Senses Resort, A New Shared Ownership Property In Brazil

Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services, announced the affiliation of Five Senses Resort to its vacation exchange network. Situated in north-central Brazil in Palmas, Tocantins, the fractional property is being developed by JRC Engenharia, one of the largest construction companies in this region.

“We are excited that the Five Senses Resort group chose Interval for its first shared ownership project, and we look forward to working with them on this impressive resort,” said Marcos Agostini, Interval’s executive vice president of global sales and business development. “The flexibility of this product is particularly suited to the evolving needs of consumers in Brazil, who want to vacation in new ways. With the recently enacted federal legislation on fractional- deeded ownership, we foresee even greater interest from consumers toward the industry.”

Currently under construction, the resort will have one- and two-bedroom units that include an open-plan kitchen and living room, bathroom with modern finishes, and a furnished private terrace with scenic views of the Tocantins River. The contemporary decor will feature neutral tones with wood accents and bold splashes of color, custom artwork, and elegant furnishings. The anticipated 202 units are slated for completion in the last quarter of 2021.

“Our company entered the industry last summer with Five Senses Resort, a property located in an unspoiled setting that offers numerous activities for outdoor enthusiasts,” said Jimmy Reile Nogueira, CEO of JRC Engenharia. “We are confident that Five Senses will be very popular with consumers who are seeking experiential travel combined with high-end amenities and services.”

Plans call for a full range of on-site amenities, such as two restaurants, a sprawling outdoor swimming pool, a full-service spa with sauna and steam room, and a fully equipped fitness center. Among the services expected to be available are a kid’s club, daily housekeeping, and complimentary Wi-Fi. Visitors can enjoy numerous water sports at the resort and nearby, including fishing, sailing, boating, jet-skiing, snorkeling, windsurfing, and stand-up paddle boarding.

New purchasers at Five Senses Resort will be enrolled as individual members of Interval International, entitling them to a host of year-round benefits, including the opportunity to exchange their weeks for stays at other resorts in Interval’s global network.
