Interval International Honored with ARDA Circle Of Excellence Award For Best-In-Class Service

Interval International, a prominent worldwide provider of vacation services and the operating business of ILG (Nasdaq: ILG), received one of the American Resort Development Association’s most prestigious recognitions ¾ the ARDA Circle of Excellence (ACE) Customer Service Excellence Award for its industry-leading Member-Services Centers. The award, which was presented during the recent ARDA World conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, honors organizations committed to striving for and delivering the best service.

Advanced technology, attention to customer feedback, exceptional training and development, and creative employee incentives are just some of the factors that have been instrumental in ensuring Interval’s high member satisfaction and retention levels over the years. On a daily basis, advisors at Member-Services Centers around the globe are encouraged to actively listen to callers, show leadership, and support their fellow staff with the goal of delivering great experiences available through vacation exchange.

“Interval’s service culture is rooted in a passion for helping our members plan memorable vacations that has endured for more than 40 years,” said David C. Gilbert, Interval’s president. “Our incredibly dedicated team is so deserving of this recognition. We are thrilled to receive this award, which acknowledges their outstanding efforts and validates our positioning as The Quality Vacation Exchange Network®.”

Also honored was Tom Bell, Interval’s senior vice president of governmental affairs. Bell received the ACE Ingersoll & Bloch Industry Advocate Award for his extraordinary contributions to vacation ownership in the legislative and regulatory arena. One of the original drafters of Florida’s Timeshare Act, Bell has served as an advocate for the industry during his more than 30-year legal career counselling development and exchange companies.

In addition, Interval received an ARDY Award for the Palace Resorts direct mail campaign. The eye-catching package, which included special offers to experience the resorts, vividly conveyed the high quality of the properties and the benefits of exchange.

Interval’s annual Party With A Cause in support of the ARDA International Foundation (AIF) was held at the renowned Saenger Theatre. Since the party became a fundraiser in 2002, the event has contributed more than $450,000 to AIF for its education and research initiatives.

Sponsors at the platinum level included Allianz, Bank of America, Hertz, Hyatt Vacation Ownership, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, and Vistana Signature Experiences; Amadeus and Entertainment Corporate Marketing Solutions, at the gold level; and Equiant, Fidelity National Timeshare, Trading Places, and Vacation Resorts International at the silver level.

“I’m proud to work with such a talented staff,” Gilbert added. “They embody the Interval spirit and dedication, and they go above and beyond to deliver high-quality service every day.”
