ICE founders John and Marcia Rowley receive Circle of Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award from ARDA

International Cruise & Excursions, Inc. (ICE), one of the world’s largest and most innovative travel partners, was recently recognized with several prestigious awards by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA). 

Among these honors was the ARDA Circle of Excellence (ACE) Lifetime Achievement Award presented to ICE founders, John and Marcia Rowley. The ACE Lifetime Achievement Award is bestowed upon those that have attained the highest level of excellence and whose accomplishments and life’s work drive the industry to new heights. 

The Rowley’s changed the landscape of the vacation ownership industry when they pioneered the introduction of cruise exchange in 1997.  For more than 20 years, vacation owners were limited to the benefits of resort exchange services.  However, this all changed when the Rowley’s formed ICE and introduced vacation owners to the remaining two-thirds of the world with cruise exchange which became the newest and most exciting option in exchange in over 20 years—introducing more than 3 million timeshare owners to cruising.

In addition to John and Marcia Rowley receiving the ACE Lifetime Achievement Award, ICE was also recognized for its excellence in several other departments:

  • Call Center Team— First Call Resolution Team
  • Marketing Programs— Travel Agency Resort BOGO program for the American Express Rep Network
