Holiday Inn Club Vacations® Raises A Record $250,000 At Annual Rci® Christel House Open Golf Tournament

Holiday Inn Club Vac ations®  recently hosted its 14th RCI®  Christel House Open at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, Florida. A record $250,000 was raised for Christel House International, a charitable  organization  focused  on  transforming  the  lives  of  impoverished  children around the world. More than 150 golfers representing 67 business partners participated June 13 at The Legends at Orange Lake Resort®  a championship 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature designed golf course. Since its inception, the tournament  has raised more than $1.75 million for the charities cause.

As the largest and most successful golf tournament held annually by Christel House, all proceeds support the charity’s mission of transforming the lives of impoverished children through  education  and  additional  services.  Currently,  Christel  House  operates  six learning centers in India, Mexico, South Africa and the United States.

During the months  of May and early June, all 26 resorts in the Orange Lake Holdings portfolio held events that raised more than $23,000 as part of this overall net donation.

“We are thrilled to support such a great organization and the mission of Christel House International,” said Don Harrill, CEO of Orange Lake Holdings. “Our company has, and will continue  to support  mission-driven  organizations  that  help  children and families. We’re also thankful for the generosity of our sponsors, particpants and team members involved in hosting events and raising funds at our resorts leading up to the golf event. We couldn’t have raised this record amount without their help.”

“Holiday  Inn  Club  Vacations  has  been  an  incredible  supporter  of  Christel  House International for 14 years, and we are so thankful for their efforts,” said Christel House International Founder and CEO, Christel DeHaan. “This record donation truly shows that the company has a huge heart.”
