Grand Pacific Resorts Create Opportunities to Vacation for Good

Carlsbad, CA (December 17, 2018)

Through an innovative campaign, Grand Pacific Resorts, put promotional dollars to use in local communities as part of their 2018 Vacation for Good campaign. Grand Pacific Resorts, a timeshare management company, participated in Giving Tuesday in 2017 with a one-day campaign. During that campaign, nearly $1,000 dollars were donated to charity. The success of that campaign inspired them to expand their efforts this year, resulting in an increase of 324% donated to charities for Giving Tuesday 2018.

It started with $500 donations to multiple charities and a call to action to help increase the donation by booking on Giving Tuesday when, Grand Pacific Resorts would pass along a $50 savings and another $50 donation – so guests had the opportunity to vacation for good. Grand Pacific Resorts was able to donate a collective $3,768 to charities in areas local to its family of resorts. They ran three separate campaigns all intended to raise money for charity: 72-hours of Giving & Thanks, A Week of Giving & Thanks, and A Month of Giving & Thanks, all in the spirit of Giving Tuesday celebrated this year on November 27th. Clean the WorldHigh Fives FoundationMartha’s VillageFriends of the Napa RiverI Heart Military, and I Love a Clean San Diego were the recipients of donations.

“Our partnership with Grand Pacific Resorts is truly tremendous and we are lucky to be able to work alongside this amazing organization,” says Roy Tuscany, founder of High Fives Foundation. “We’ve been able to build campaigns to a national presence, secured more funding for our programs, and made us more visible to the general public – all in all, a HUGE win for us. We are grateful to have a partner that is built around being a positive agent of change, and are full of positive stoke, love, and happiness. Thank you Grand Pacific Resorts!”

Grand Pacific Resorts has a long standing commitment to giving back to the communities it operates in through their giving program, GPR Cares. The philosophy and inspiration behind it is a commitment to “What Matters to You, Matters to Us.” Owners and associates are personally involved with numerous worthy charities, many of which were benefitted through the Giving and Thanks campaign.

Grand Pacific Resorts is extremely proud to be able to support these non-profits making a positive impact in our communities, and is looking forward to growing the tradition of giving even more in 2019. “We have always had a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, and are so pleased that we could expand our efforts to give back even more this year,” says Renee Wagner, Director of Creative Services and Brand Management for Grand Pacific Resorts.
