Global Connections names Nancy Russ to General Manager of Sea Shells Beach Club

Global Connections Inc. (GCI) has named long term team member Nancy Russ to the position of General Manager of its award winning Sea Shells Beach Club in Daytona Beach, Florida.  Nancy who has been with GCI for nine years has learned the ropes from the ground floor up.

Beginning as a booking agent, her career grew as she managed the GCI fulfillment office, wrote training guides and managed quality control.  The “Yankee Transplant” from Rhode Island classifies herself as a people person.

One of her first activities on the job was to cook breakfast for her staff.  She says, “Interacting with members, guests, employees and vendors are all part of the deep satisfaction I receive here as GM at Sea Shells Beach Club!”

Sea Shells Beach Club recently earned the TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence Award and was honored with the White Glove Award for housekeeping excellence by the Superior Small Lodging Association.  The popular property also received the Booking.com Award of Excellence for 2015.

According to Dave Dawson, Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for GCI, “Our popular boutique property is known for its caring and creative staff.  With Nancy overseeing the operations and managing a group of 15 devoted team members, we are sure to see more awards and continued popularity among members and guests.”

Owned and managed by Global Connections, Inc., the 37-unit Sea Shells Beach Club is located directly on Daytona Beach and features a mix of ocean view and oceanfront efficiencies and studios, as well as one- and two-bedroom condominium units.  Resort amenities include a heated oceanfront swimming pool, barbecue area, bicycles, beach chairs and boogie boards.
