Travel industry leader Global Connections, Inc. (GCI), a travel club fulfillment and service provider continues to expand its sales distribution network.
With the opening of its first corporately owned sales center, GCI adds a strong presence in New York. Situated on Long Island, the GCI Sales Center is under the leadership of Kevin Cover, Vice President Sales, an experienced sales leader with a robust resume of generating tours and sales for membership-based loyalty clubs. This new sales center will introduce GCI’s travel club, Global Discovery Vacations, to local residents with an interest in travel and leisure activities.
Prior to his role with GCI, Kevin was the Senior Vice President of Direct Sales with International Cruise & Excursions, managing over 200 employees and generating $25 million in annual revenue. He says, “Members of Global Discovery Vacations experience trips they might not…or could not have taken otherwise. We intend to bring families and friends closer together by providing once-in-a-lifetime vacations, year after year.”

According to Melanie Gring, Chief Strategic Alliances and Brand Officer, “Kevin and his team are in an ideal location to tell the Global Discovery Vacations story. With ten full-time staff members, the sales center is already seeing 300 families a month and is on pace to grow at a yearly rate of 50%.”
Global Connections is on the cutting edge of travel club popularity. Over the past decade, GCI has experienced a steady increase in new members interested in shorter-term memberships and more affordable enrollment fees. “This unique platform ensures the GDV member only pays an annual activity fee in the years they choose to use their membership,” says Melanie.
