Clive Daniel Hospitality Introduces Timeless Design at The Colony Golf & Country Club

The Clive Daniel Hospitality design team has recently completed the total interior design for The Colony Golf & Country Club Clubhouse in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Nancy Woodhouse IDS, VP of Clive Daniel Home’s Hospitality Division, worked together with the management and staff to ensure design improvements that reflected their vision for their clientele. The new design involved all aspects of interior specifications and furnishings for the two-story 28,000-square-foot clubhouse with a 145-seat dining room and The Sports Club. The stunning clubhouse features a panoramic dining room with curved windows overlooking the 18th fairway.

“While retaining the clubhouse’s grand architectural features, we removed heavy ornamental elements in the building and transformed it into a more timeless, transitional design. The improvements have enhanced the overall appeal of each area and ensure comfort and style that will appeal to current and potential members and their guest for years to come,” said Woodhouse. “Our team redefined spaces to enhance functionality and took advantage of natural light patterns, imparting a fresh, contemporary look with warm wood finishes. These changes enabled the property to provide new amenities and physical renovations to the building without altering the original architectural design features of the clubhouse. Members say that they can’t believe it’s the same space.”

Interior Designer Beth Kafka, assisting with implementing this new design stated, “We created a dramatic contrast with a new cool and lighter color palette with richly accented architectural details. The furnishings and artwork help to develop a crisp, more transitional feel throughout with metallic and textural wall applications. Understated areas have more meaning and function, with a natural flow and ease through the main floor. With expanded seating, the refreshed bar/lounge area and enhanced dining room have created inviting and elegant spaces with their own unique identities that still relate to one another.”
