Since 1993, the Mazatlán Cultural Festival has brought together artists, musicians, writers, and dancers from around the globe. This year, the festival will be celebrating 100 years of Cultural Life in Mazatlán with a wide range of performances and festivities happening daily. Organized by the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, the Mazatlán Cultural Festival features visual and performing artists from Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, and the United States. This event that spans sixty days includes performances by The Sinaloa Symphony Orchestra, a tribute to Pedro Infante, several operas (Il travatore, Suor Angelica, Carmen and Dido and Aeneas), and a concert from the legendary orchestra, Sonora Santanera.
With 80-percent of the events at the Mazatlán Cultural Festival being free of charge, the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán has made it easy for locals and tourists alike to partake in multiple cultural experiences this Fall.
