Architectural Concepts, Inc. Announces Approval of Holiday Inn Club Vacations Preview Center—Myrtle Beach

Architectural Concepts, Inc. (ACI) a San Diego firm regarded as one of the country’s top boutique architectural and interior design firms, announced the City of Myrtle Beach Community Appearance Board (CAB) approved plans for the exterior design and site layout for the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Preview Center.

Since opening the doors in 1992, ACI has focused on hospitality, restaurant, and commercial markets.  Located in San Diego, the boutique firm provides Architectural Design, Site and Building Planning and Interior Design services for a variety of project types.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations is increasing its Myrtle Beach footprint with a new oceanfront resort (presently under construction and expected to open in 2024) and a new state-of-the-art Preview Center, which the City of Myrtle Beach CAB approved unanimously on the first submittal February 2, 2023. The center will be located between the company’s existing South Beach Resort and its new oceanfront resort.

The new Preview Center concept, a classic, unadorned structure, was inspired from rustic barns in the rural townships surrounding the Myrtle Beach area. The building embraces references from 100+ years of surrounding history including architecture referenced from a grand seaside hotel and iconic local hot spots to town gathering halls and ocean piers.

“The classic big barn with its clear story roof line offered an interesting typology for the sales floor portion of the building,” said Margit Whitlock AIA, architect for the project. “The preview center will provide an engaging and immersive sales experience for new buyers, as well as existing owners, looking to upgrade their membership.”

The Preview Center will be primarily used as a sales center. Outside of business hours, the space may also be utilized for additional owner experience activities, such as special events or gatherings.

The facility is equipped with a large café with a covered patio, sales theater, “Dream Room” where guests can visualize their vacations digitally and offices for management and sales staff.  The exposed beams, elongated windows, low slung, gable metal roofs are set off by calming, nostalgic colors such as dusty sky blue and soft sage green. Inside, touring guests will be immersed in a reimagined journey that includes new technology, brand interactions and transformative data strategies.

In the past quarter century, Architectural Concepts Inc. has developed a reputation for its professionalism, creativity, and vision. With projects ranging from timeshare resorts to renowned spas, intimate lounges, cannabis dispensaries, and branded hotels, Architectural Concepts Inc. has received numerous awards for its creative solutions in hospitality oriented architectural and interior design.
