Valley Forge Fabrics Leads DEI in The Luxury Hospitality Industry
Valley Forge Fabrics, the world’s largest supplier of custom textile performance products and services for the luxury hospitality industry, is proud to be a leader among the hospitality industry in DEI efforts. While consumers may recognize their products from the stunning rooms of Auberge Resorts Collection, Rosewood Hotels, Four Seasons Resorts and Hotels, and Montage Hotels, many aren’t aware of the powerful story behind this company.
Valley Forge Fabrics is a 46-year-old, family-owned brand that has grown from a small business to a major hospitality powerhouse that is leading the charge of diversity, equity and inclusion in the luxury hospitality space. Helmed by Co-CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer Diana Dobin, Valley Forge Fabrics has put human welfare at the forefront of their business model in an industry that has notoriously seen female, BIPOC and disabled employees stuck at lower-lever positions and not afforded the same opportunities to move up the internal career ladders.
Valley Forge Fabrics employs 260 people, 65% of which are women, and 50% of which are minorities and people of color. Looking at company leadership, women make up 60% of the Executive Directors, Managers and Leadership Team. This summer, Valley Forge Fabrics is excited to welcome a team of interns comprised entirely of only females and women of color. These interns represent the next generation of hospitality employees, a new era in the world of luxury hospitality that will be more diverse than ever before. The Executive Team also dedicates time to serve as mentors and volunteers within the local Fort Lauderdale community, often as presenters at schools, colleges, fairs, and other not-for-profit events, where they are able to share their insights on business acumen, innovation, sustainability, textile production and leadership.
Valley Forge is paving the way for the next generation of hospitality through their training, programs and practices dedicated to uplifting and championing minorities, women, those with disabilities, and more – not only in April for Diversity Month, but all year long.
