Timeshare Escrow & Title Principals Donate Food for Orlando Police Department’s Annual “Christmas Dinner From a Cop”

ORLANDO, FL (December 12, 2018) – Each holiday season for the past four years, Dave Heine Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Timeshare Escrow and Title  (TET) and President and CEO of Land Title of Florida (LTF), along with fellow co-Founder Crystal O’Berry, donate enough food to the Orlando Police Department to feed more than 850 families.  This year they carry on their tradition.

Dave Heine, along with Chief John Mina who became  Sheriff of Orange County Florida this  year, began “Christmas Dinner From a Cop” in 2014.   This year Chief Orlando Rolon will be carrying on the joyous event; Chief Rolon used to participate when he was a Deputy Chief.

Heine said, “This year Crystal and I will provide each family a 6-10 pound ham, box of mashed potatoes, “fixins’” to make green bean casserole and dinner rolls.   ‘Should be enough food for Christmas dinner for a  family of 4-5.”

The event takes place the 21st of December. Although Dave Heine does not drive a sleigh, he arrives early in the morning on the big day at Sav a Lot food store in a 26 foot truck; and, usually accompanied by a police escort, Heine drives the dinners to the Orlando Police Department Headquarters where the food is distributed. Upon arrival, approximately 30 Orlando Police officers greet “Santa’s Dave and Crystal” as they unload the truck and bag food to hand out. Timeshare Escrow and Title  office staff take on the role of elves as they help unload and bag as well.

Over the years “Christmas Dinner From a Cop” has grown in size and become a welcome celebration of generosity and holiday spirit, drawing attention of local news media and many worthy participants.  The recipients are from Parramore District, one of the lowest income and most underserved neighborhoods in Orlando.

“We are so proud to give back to our community with the local police,” said Heine.  “it wouldn’t be Christmas without this special occasion.”
