Nordis Technologies Names VP for Application Development and Adds Legal and Accounting Leaders
Nordis Technologies, an innovative customer communications management (CCM) and electronic bill presentment and payments (EBPP) solutions company, has recruited Paola Buitron-Bouw as its corporate counsel and compliance officer and Leana Maharaj as director of accounting and has promoted Lesster Maspoch to vice president of application development.
“Paola, Leana and Lesster bring proven experience and fresh perspectives to the Nordis management team. Their expertise and leadership will help us manage Nordis’ rapid growth and capitalize on new market opportunities,” said Ronnie Selinger, founder, CEO and president.
In his new role, Maspoch is overseeing a major rearchitecting and upgrading of Nordis’ Expresso® CCM software, starting with a new user interface that will debut later this year. “Lesster has been instrumental in innovating and expanding Expresso. He and his team continue to build capabilities that meet our clients’ needs and the rising expectations of their customers, patients and property owners for choice and convenience in communications,” Selinger said.
Maspoch joined Nordis Technologies in 2015, following leadership roles in software development and engineering in the hospitality/timeshare and financial services industries, focusing on consumer incentives, technology and payments software.
Buitron-Bouw is Nordis’ first in-house counsel and manages compliance with data security and privacy regulations. “Paola’s depth of knowledge and experience in navigating the complex compliance environment, particularly in healthcare, is an immense asset to Nordis and its customers,” said Selinger.
Previously, Buitron-Bouw managed the corporate contracts and technology department for University of Maryland Baltimore County. She has served as an intellectual property attorney and IP fellow and held clerkships in the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. She is a faculty professor, teaching health information technology law and ethics in UMBC’s Master’s in Health IT graduate program.
Buitron-Bouw holds a Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University. She is a licensed attorney in Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
Maharaj serves as director of accounting, a new position at Nordis Technologies. She oversees the company’s accounting and finance functions, including accounting policy and processes, standards and regulatory compliance and accounts payable and receivable.
Previously she held positions in accounting and auditing for Randstad USA and McGladrey & Pullen (now RSM US LLP). Maharaj earned a bachelor of science in accounting from Florida International University and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
