Merlin Software for Vacation Ownership opens new support office in Mauritius

Merlin Software for Vacation Ownership, the leading provider of cloud-based enterprise software for the global timeshare and fractional industry, has announced its intention to open a satellite office in Mauritius.

Client Success Manager and Mauritian-born Kamlawtee Ragoo will manage the new office. Once fully operational, her team will handle software support and service calls from Merlin’s clients located across the globe. Going forward, there are also plans to open a programming department to focus on the development of Merlin’s new WebApps technology (link).

Said CEO and chief software architect, Mike Pnematicatos: “We have been considering this option for some time as we want to be closer to our clients in the east. With its superior educational standards, Mauritius has a highly qualified and skilled, young workforce. It’s a perfect fit for Merlin Software. We are currently in the recruitment and training process and we’ve been impressed with the caliber of candidate.”

The new Mauritius office is currently being completed and will be functioning in the next new year. The support staff is already undergoing Merlin Software training.

Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean and is just 5 hours flying time from Merlin’s head office in Cape Town. The country has four public universities, several technical institutes and an adult literacy rate of 92.7%. The per capita GDP is the highest in Africa. It is ideally located to handle support and service calls from our clients in Australasia, Middle East, Pakistan and Southern Africa.
