Meet Jennifer, December’s Send Me on Vacation Survivor
I was really looking forward to the upcoming trip. I had my approved time off unfortunately my circumstances have taken an unexpected turn.
Today I had my yearly cancer check and got the results back immediately. They rushed me in for an MRI of my armpit and found a malignant tumor. I am an absolute mess about this because I almost made my ten year mark of being cancer free after my first breast cancer diagnosis.
They have scheduled surgery for next week on Tuesday to remove it. They said I will be sore and have to take it easy for 3-6 weeks. Regrettably, this means, I won’t be able to join you and the others on our planned trip to San Clemente. This leaves me so sad as I SO looking forward to the destination and everything sounded like a dream come true. I really looked forward to bringing my daughter to the second part and spending some quality mother daughter time as we have had a crazy few years! (Not sure if I told you she got hit by a car on her scooter going to school in February and broke her back!)
I know you can understand the gravity of this situation, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause you. I was really looking forward to this trip and feel as if my body and soul needed it.
I promise to keep you updated on my progress, and I will be looking forward to pictures of your trip!
Thank you for your understanding, and please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Jennifer
