MDK Welcomes Brent Gibbs as its New Principal and General Counsel

MDK, a leading law firm specializing in innovative legal solutions, is excited to announce that Brent Gibbs has joined the firm as its newest Principal and General Counsel. Brent, a highly respected legal professional with over a decade of experience at The Walt Disney Company, brings an impressive background in corporate and real estate law, organizational leadership, and strategic business development to MDK, as the firm continues to expand its reach and services across various industries.

Brent previously served as general counsel for Disney Vacation Club, an innovative growth business within the Disney Parks and Resorts segment. Prior to his role at Disney, Brent was a partner in private practice, specializing in complex business litigation, and also held the position of Associate General Counsel and Vice President at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. Brent earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance, along with his Juris Doctorate, from the University of Florida. His decades of combined Business Strategy, Finance, and Legal executive experience makes him the ideal leader for MDK and its plans for the future.

Brent will be working with the firm’s leadership to enhance business operations and expand the firm’s offerings in timeshare, residential mortgage, and other key practice areas. His leadership style emphasizes team development and creating an inclusive culture, where individuals can reach their full potential, a philosophy that aligns with MDK’s core mission of fostering growth for both clients and employees.

“We are thrilled to welcome Brent to MDK,” said Ted Manley, Principal and Chief Executive Officer of MDK. “His extensive experience, particularly in the timeshare market, combined with his commitment to innovative legal services, makes him the perfect fit as we continue to evolve and disrupt the legal industry. Brent’s vision and expertise will be instrumental in helping us achieve our strategic goals and deliver unmatched value to our clients.”

Brent’s arrival at MDK marks a pivotal moment for the firm as it continues to grow and enhance its competitive edge in the legal services market. His deep understanding of the industry and reputation for delivering high-quality legal counsel will help propel MDK’s growth initiatives, particularly in the rapidly expanding timeshare sector.

“I am incredibly excited to join MDK and begin this new chapter in my career,” said Brent. “The firm’s forward-thinking business model, its commitment to client service, and its focus on growth align perfectly with my own values. I look forward to working with the talented MDK team and helping to take the firm to new heights.”

While Brent will primarily be based in MDK’s Orlando office, he will also spend significant time in the firm’s Columbus headquarters. His appointment strengthens MDK’s leadership team and reinforces the firm’s dedication to providing clients with innovative, scalable, and cost-effective legal solutions.
