Lisa Kobek, EVP/Client Services and Operations/Mobius Vendor Partners has been appointed to the position of President/Board of Directors, The Children’s TherAplay Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit outpatient pediatric rehabilitation clinic providing physical and occupational therapies for central Indiana children with special needs.
Children’s TherAplay is the nationally renowned leader and educator in physical and occupational therapy on horseback, which is enthusiastically endorsed as an effective treatment tool for children with special needs.
The mission of Children’s TherAplay is to provide a foundation for developing life skills through innovative therapies, including physical and occupational therapies using a horse as a treatment tool, in a safe and caring environment.
Kathy Pelletier, Executive Director, Children’s TherAplay, shared her thoughts on Lisa’s new role. “Lisa has made a significant commitment to helping grow the mission of Children’s TherAplay, serving as our Executive Director and a long-standing board member. Her firsthand knowledge and experience of the interworking of our organization, and the needs of the community we serve, have been a valuable asset to me and played a vital role in the explosive growth we have seen to provide for our services over the last several years. Prior to joining Mobius VP seven years ago, Lisa served as Executive Director of TherAplay and most recently as the Vice President of the board of directors. She has been a member of the Children’s TherAplay Board since 2017.
Lisa’s career experience has spanned the for-profit and not-for-profit worlds, with a primary focus in the areas of leadership, client service/donor relations, strategic and tactical planning, process improvement, and operations. While serving as Executive Director for Children’s TherAplay, Lisa was responsible for implementing strategic direction, ensuring excellence in program delivery and operations, fundraising/donor relations, building community awareness/support, and effective fiscal management.
Lisa’s other not-for-profit organizational experience includes serving as the Director of Development for Christel House International, Inc., an international children’s charity. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Butler University. Lisa is a participating member of the American Resort Development Association.
