Breast cancer recovery is a daily, never-ending task. I have been an oncology RN for 39 years and really struggle with finding myself on the other side of the needle. I have cared for thousands of people over the years with a supportive attitude and sincere hope. Some days I find it hard to do that for myself. I found this opportunity for an emotional empowerment vacation. Thought how wonderful it would be to experience something I have never done before.
This experience can be life changing by just having something positive to look forward to besides medical procedures and appointments.
Being able to do this would inspire others that they to can do things even when experiencing a terminal illness. I do not know how many days I have left in this beautiful world but I shall try to see the best in every day and in every corner of the world!
I would feel truly blessed to be able to experience a trip like this!
Sincerely,
Sherry Barrett
