Global Connections’ Offices Team Up for Make-a-Wish “Walk for Wishes”

Global Connections, the highly-respected resort developer, travel club fulfillment and service provider of Global Discovery Vacations (GDV), coordinated an effort between its Kansas-based corporate headquarters and Dunedin, Florida to support the Make-a-Wish Foundation “Walk for Wishes” on April 28.

 

Dave Dawson, Global Connections Vice President Resort Acquisitions, and his wife Pam, Director of Marketing for GCI’s Beso Del Sol Resort (Dunedin, FL), led team members on the walk in Tampa Bay, FL.  To show support, the corporate office joined the walk virtually with donations.

 

The donated funds went to Make-a-Wish, the philanthropic organization which grants “wishes” from critically ill, and often terminally ill, “wish kids” around the world through local chapters.  Funds raised at the Tampa Bay event were designated to help kids and their families in Southern Florida.

 

Global Connections has a long history of philanthropic endeavors from blood drives to charity runs to full-on fundraisers. Ongoing philanthropic activities are championed in the corporate headquarters, satellite offices, at its resorts and in the distributor sales centers.

Over the past year, GCI philanthropic efforts have raised funds for numerous organizations and impacted thousands of lives in Kansas, Florida, South Carolina, Colorado, Louisiana, Utah, and around the United States through donations of time, materials, and items.
