Disney Vacation Club Alters Resale Policy, Limiting Guests to Existing Resorts

• The change in policy reads:
  • Effective January 19, 2019, only Members who purchase directly from Disney will be able to use their Vacation Points at the 14 existing Disney Vacation Club Resorts or future Resorts—such as Disney’s Riviera Resort or Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. Resale contracts purchased for the existing 14 Disney Vacation Club Resorts will only be able to exchange Points into those 14 Resorts.
• This will limit future guests who purchase their points from a private seller beyond the 19th of this month to the existing 14 Disney Vacation Club resorts.
• Those 14 resorts are:
  • Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas
  • Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House and Kidani Village
  • Disney’s Beach Club Villas
  • Disney’s Boardwalk Villas
  • Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
  • Disney’s Old Key West Resort
  • Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows
  • Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
  • Disney’s Vero Beach Resort
  • The Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
  • The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
• This change will not impact those who purchase prior to January 19.
• Contracts gifted to family members will continue to have the same Resort access as before the ownership transfer.
• Guests hoping to purchase points for Disney’s Riviera Resort, Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge or any future resorts, will have to purchase directly from Disney unless the purchase is made prior to January 19.
• Disney’s Riviera Resort is scheduled to open in fall of this year while Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge is scheduled to open in 2022.
