DAE Launches Resorts of Excellence Programme

DAE (Dial An Exchange) has launched an independent programme set to recognise the highest quality resorts in its network.

The Resorts of Excellence programme will highlight the holiday resorts that DAE members consistently rate as very good or excellent.

After returning from an exchange or bonus week holiday, DAE members are encouraged to review their experience. As well as a free format review, they are asked to rate the resort under seven different criteria, from staff helpfulness through to quality and cleanliness. Members can rate each category from one to five, with one being poor and five for excellent.

To achieve the status of excellence, a resort must score an average rating of four or higher throughout the year.

DAE managing director Europe Oliver Green said on launching the programme at the annual TATOC conference: “Our members now know that at a Resort of Excellence, they will be receiving high quality and a great experience, as endorsed by fellow members. There is no higher recommendation then an independent, third party one.

“This initiative also acts as a spur to raise standards across the resorts in our network. After all, it’s the constantly great level of holiday experience that sets timeshare vacations apart from other types of holiday.”

All the resorts judged to be excellent are awarded a Resort of Excellence plaque to display, and will also gain additional publicity through the DAE website.
