Cannabis Travel Association International (CTAI) announces “Advocacy Virtual Event”

The Cannabis Travel Association (CTAI), the United Voice of Cannabis Travel, will hold an international virtual event focusing on the recently completed CTAI Advocacy Toolkit on March 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Advocacy is one of three core pillars of the Cannabis Travel Association, with the other two being Education and Networking. This event brings together all three pillars of the CTAI and features a well-rounded lineup of expert speakers who have created a suite of tools intended to translate cannabis travel advocacy into policy and drive forward normalization.

The event opens up with an introduction of the Advocacy Toolkit, then a team of CTAI members and advocacy subject matter experts will lead break out rooms with a deep dive into the most important issues facing cannabis travel and tourism and ways to work with government agencies and individuals as cannabis tourism becomes more mainstream.

Amanda Reiman, CTAI Board Member and founder of Personal Plants, will kick off the morning with updates about the non-profit organization. Brian Applegarth, CTAI founder, and Chair will start with the basics, presenting a Glossary of Cannabis Travel Terms that are defining the trend;  Jerred Kiloh, owner of The Higher Path will discuss the differences between Adult Cannabis Use and Medicinal Cannabis Use; Omar Figueroa, a leading cannabis attorney will lead a breakout room focusing on Public Health and Safety and Kelbi Thompson, a compliance expert will discuss Social Media guidelines.

The event will also include networking opportunities and a role-playing workshop to help attendees present their cases to decision-makers.
