Vacation Resorts International and Trading Places International Support Talk About Curing Autism

Vacation Resorts International (VRI) and Trading Places International (TPI), providers of management and leisure services to vacation owners, hosted a 14-day fundraiser in support of Talk About Curing Autism (TACA). The “Jeans Day” promotion encouraged staff at VRI and TPI to purchase tickets entitling them to wear jeans, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to TACA.

“I’m proud of our team and their generosity to such a worthwhile organization that helps families in need,” said Loren V. Gallagher, president and CEO of VRI and TPI. “This event is just another way that our employees show their ongoing commitment to the communities in which we live and work.”

VRI and TPI hold “casual for a cause” fundraisers throughout the year that benefit a variety of charitable causes. These include Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc., Operation Any Soldier, Loaves and Fish Soup Kitchen in Santa Ana, California, and the Dolphin Research Center in Grass Key, Florida. Staff who participate appreciate the opportunity to give back and make a difference in their communities.

“All of us at Talk About Curing Autism are incredibly grateful to VRI and TPI for their generous support and participation in Jeans Day for Autism,” said Jonathan Birt, development coordinator for TACA. “Employees raised $1,000 to help support the 1 in 68 children living with autism.  These donations mean so much to TACA and will help us continue to provide 95 percent of our programs at no cost to families.”

TACA believes in early diagnosis, intensive therapies, and medical intervention for children affected by autism. With early intervention, medical treatment unique to each person’s needs and necessary support services for families, many children can improve greatly and some can recover from their autistic symptoms.
